Might not want to buy one for some time though, they’re forcing the bean counters to build them

I get it will probably be reliable but lol at the thought of ever working on a FWD based v6 turbo engine.

Hope it’s great.

That’s pretty... meh?
Like, not bad, but also not that impressive. I guess that’s perfectly inline with Acura’s brand image of “we exist and our cars aren’t bad”.

Yeah NA V6 engines mounted sideways are bad enough. Many years ago I had a V6 Santa Fe that went to the shop way more than I would’ve liked just because so many
things were impossible to get to without removing 1-2 engine mounts and jacking up the motor. I have a friend with a 2.7T Edge and that engine bay is just plain scary with how things are packed in it. They had a warranty repair for a leak at the RMS take an entire month
just because of how much work it was to separate the engine and transmission.

T hey’re still trying to offer a cheaper beamer. It’s priced like a 330i, with power closer to a 340i. But no badge prestige.
Of course, BMW has been tarnishing that badge at a killer pace.

Acura: “we built a car. it looks pretty good and it’s performance is also pretty good, but god forbid we do anything great”

“uh... why do I have all these extra bolts? It oughta be ok...”

Yeah, but, that rear door handle.

Sad but true. My dad has always bought Acuras, and loves them. I get it from the reliability standpoint, but they’re just so booooooring compared to the alternatives.

Welp, can’t unsee that. Thanks jerk.

Omg! What the hell happened, Acura?

It’s not the kind of travesty I can keep to myself.

A temporary lapse in what has otherwise been a solid history of not putting the door handle in a terrible place.

I guess it depends on how much it weighs. If they can keep curb weight around 3,500, it should be properly quick.. Well, assuming the transmission and nannies aren’t dog shit.

Oof. Right in the OCD.

Counterpoint: alternatives include the Lexus ES.

Lol looks like your guess was
closest...

Fair.
I was referring to Acura as a whole and their alternatives, not necessarily the TLX alone.

Someone needs to photoshop the handles in the same place, but like, 10 times larger......

Im just salty because
my
dad
moved on from his 2006 TL and bought a Lexus ES350.

Definitely an “I always get an...” brand. Kind of like Saabs but without the quirks and problems. I never knew a man or woman to drive a saab, and not always drive a saab at least up until they stopped making them. Still plenty of die hards out there

HA!
My dad is an MDX guy so it’s kinda whatever for me......

You’ve gotta know it’s gonna weigh like 3900-4200lbs.

LOL. Acura - we make OK cars!
